Village of Lin, Pogradec!

The village of Lin, located on the shores of Lake Ohrid in Pogradec, is one of Albania’s most beautiful and undiscovered treasures. Legend has it that the Lin peninsula was once a beautiful island with dense vegetation. Life on this peninsula began in the first period of the Iron Age (to which also belong the famous mosaics of Lin, which are found on the hill) and continued until the time of the Early Middle Ages. This settlement turns out to be the oldest in Europe.

Lin is surrounded by wonderful nature. Lake Ohrid, one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe, offers numerous opportunities for water activities such as fishing, swimming and sailing.Also, the surrounding area is ideal for hiking and nature exploration, with the path leading to various panoramic points where you can enjoy wonderful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
